"I have seen huge changes in this fantastic industry, since before the tea bag was invented", says Lance. "Through the 70's learning to roast coffee, the 80's and the discovery of Espresso, the 90's when New Zealand lead the world (outside Europe) with companies like Columbus Coffee and The Centre of Gravity leading the way in the quality and presentation of Espresso based drinks."

Lance has extensive experience in the tea and coffee industry, starting in 1966 as a partner in Wilcocks Tea Co Ltd, bulk tea importers and packers, and today is a shareholder and director of several coffee related businesses. Together with his son Aaron, Lance has developed a number of businesses specialising in the importation and distribution of tea and coffee products, including: Maxwell House Coffee Ltd - Home James Tea Coffee & Spices Ltd.- Beverage Services Ltd and Cellofresh Ltd
